1929 Th. (Theophile) Schneider 13/65 Le Mans with Corsica Coachwork.

Theophile Schneider was a French manufacturer of sport cars in the 1920's. The company began before World War One as Rochet Schneider but after a falling out between partners Schneider went off on his own to produce cars in very limited numbers until 1931.

This particular car is rumoured to be the only 13/65 Le Mans of its kind and has a French made chassis and engine with British coachwork by the Corsica Company who also produced bodies for Bugatti, Aston Martin, and Lagonda. This particular car was produced to participate at Le Mans . The Schneider Company had finished sixth in the 1926 Le Mans .

This was the last car produced by the Schneider company and was reported to have been the car that they were preparing for the 1929 Le Mans before their demise. It was held in their London showroom for a time after the collapse of the French operation and it was then kept by the showroom manager. He sold it to Mr. George Watchman in 1950 and he then brought it to Canada where it ended up stored in a barn for decades. The current owners are the fourth this wonderful little car has had. Presently the car is in our showroom currently being restored to Concourse condition.
